CIDH-Bu is a Company committed to promote sustainable community development in Burundi. We work closely with youth, women, and vulnerable populations to strengthen their capacities, improve livelihoods, and enhance their active participation in local economic development.
Our society/company integrates practical skills training, entrepreneurship support, innovation, and community-based initiatives to generate lasting social and economic impact. We apply a hands-on “learning-by-doing” approach that transforms ideas into practical solutions and sustainable enterprises.

Our Objectives
At CIDH-BU, our objectives are designed to promote sustainable development, empower communities, and improve livelihoods, with detailed strategic objectives such as:
1.To empower youth, women, and vulnerable populations through innovative, skills-based training, entrepreneurship development, and integrated social support services.
2. To promote practical innovation and community-based enterprises by transforming ideas into market-oriented products and services, including agribusiness (e.g., mushroom production), digital solutions, and local service initiatives.
3. To improve livelihoods through sustainable income-generating activities by equipping beneficiaries with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and access to economic opportunities.
4. To strengthen community resilience and self-reliance by enhancing adaptive capacities, local problem-solving skills, and sustainable resource utilization.
5. To promote inclusive and environmentally responsible development by ensuring equal participation of youth, women, and vulnerable groups while integrating eco-friendly and climate-smart practices.
6. To build strategic partnerships for long-term community impact by collaborating with government institutions, NGOs, private sector actors, and development partners.
7. To provide counseling services and psychosocial support aimed at improving mental well-being, social integration, and overall quality of life.
